01

What we explore

Human biology, cellular and molecular systems, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, regenerative medicine, biological ageing and healthy longevity, genetic technologies, biological regulation and bioengineering.

02

Why it matters

Understanding biological processes may eventually enable new approaches to health, ageing and human well-being. Some of these fields are established science; others, such as interventions on biological ageing, are still largely exploratory. Greenwood follows both, with that distinction in mind.

03

What drives our curiosity

  1. 01Which biomedical methods are ready for wider use, and which are still early?
  2. 02What does current evidence say about the biology of ageing?
  3. 03Where can engineering methods help biological research?

04

Where innovation may emerge

At the boundary between engineering and the life sciences, in collaboration with institutions that hold the necessary expertise and facilities.
